Making a plan reality
As the store manager had suggested, I came up with a plan for the window dressing, which would be very seasonal. The plan was to create paper flowers and stick them in the window, or to have paper flowers hanging from the ceiling. However as I didn't have the materials necessary to execute the plan for this week, I instead chose to run with a colour theme, and decided that instead of choosing just one colour, I would use the primary colours to make a display.
I was limited to using skirts, as the mannequins aren't built to display trousers, and was lucky that the store had numerous blue skirts in stock. I chose to use two of the three blue skirts in stock, and fixed them at the back with a clip so that they would fit the mannequins.
The first mannequin I dressed was simply blue and red, but the top had a floral pattern which made it interesting to look at. The skirt I chose with this top was a denim skirt. The necklace I chose was small and had greenish yellow gems on it.

The second mannequin, which I like more than the first, had all three primary colours in it and is very simple. The skirt was quite large, so I had to pin it in the back. The necklace I chose was quite bulky, but ran with the theme of primary colours, and fir the best with the simple outfit I had dressed the mannequin in.
Later on, a woman was interested in the denim skirt o one of the mannequins, so I helped her get it off, and when she bought it, I replaced it with another blue skirt, which was longer and similar in colour to the skirt on the other mannequin, but had ruffles and flower cut-outs running across the bottom of the skirt.
This week I didn't do much for table dressing, but there were some vases on display in the window, which I re-organised. Initially they were just red and hot pink vases, but I decided to switch out two of the red vases and introduce teal blue, since there happened to be two ornaments of this colour. I feel that it worked well.
I chose to use different textures as well. If one display had two smoother ornaments on them, I added an ornament with texture, and if the ornaments were textured, I added a smooth ornament.
