Playing with the Exquisite Corpse
Because we are currently doing research into DADA, we looked at the Exquisite Corpse, which was originally a traditional parlor game that the Surrealists changed. And while it was adopted by Surrealism, elements of the game were part of DADA (Photomontage and Typomontage)
The game named the Exquisite Corpse because the game was originaly played with words, and the name came from a sentence created by the Surrealists playing the game when the sentence "Le Cadavre exquise boira le vin nouveau" which translated to "The exquisite corpse will drink the young wine"
The reason that you can link it to Dadaism, aside from the early photomontage and typomontage was the fact that the imges created were completely nonsensical, which was what much of the Dada movement was.
